Two Suspects Arrested as Police Recover Six Phones in Kasarani Snatching Crackdown
Police in Kasarani, Nairobi, have arrested two suspects believed to be part of a gang behind a series of phone-snatching incidents in the area.
The suspects were arrested on Sunday afternoon by officers from Lucky Summer Police Station during a targeted operation aimed at disrupting criminal activity in the area.
Police recovered six mobile phones suspected to have been stolen, alongside a motorcycle believed to have been used to facilitate the alleged phone-snatching operations.
The arrests come as detectives intensify efforts to establish whether the suspects are connected to other reported cases of phone theft in Kasarani and neighbouring areas.
Investigators are pursuing additional leads as they work to identify other individuals who may be involved in the suspected criminal network.
The National Police Service said it will continue conducting targeted operations and strengthening investigations to combat street crime and dismantle criminal networks.
