The Bar Symphony Brings Reimagined Orchestral Music to Nairobi

Nairobi’s nightlife scene is set for an orchestral twist as The Bar Symphony makes its Kenyan debut on November 7, blending live orchestral performances with a contemporary entertainment experience.

Presented by 360 Immersive in collaboration with Crispy Life, the event will take place at The Alloy, Sarit Centre, under the theme An Orchestral Experience Reimagined.

The concept seeks to give familiar songs a fresh identity through orchestral arrangements, offering audiences a different way to experience music beyond conventional concerts and nightlife entertainment.

The founders of 360 Immersive said the idea emerged from a desire to challenge the familiarity of music often heard across entertainment venues by reinterpreting popular songs through orchestral performances.

“We felt there was room to do something different with music. People are familiar with certain songs and how they traditionally sound, but we wanted to challenge that familiarity. By reengineering and rearranging these songs through orchestral music, we create an opportunity for people to hear something they already love in a completely new way. Our first edition in Kampala was magical, and bringing The Bar Symphony to Nairobi is an exciting next step for us,” the founders said.

The Nairobi edition will combine the depth and richness of orchestral music with the social atmosphere of a night out. Rather than following the format of a traditional orchestral concert, the event places live instrumental performances within a contemporary entertainment setting.

For audiences, the experience promises familiar melodies presented through new arrangements, bringing together traditional orchestral sounds and contemporary music culture.

The organisers hope the concept will appeal to Nairobi residents looking for alternatives to the city’s usual nightlife offerings while introducing orchestral music to new audiences.

The Bar Symphony ticket prices

Tickets are available through Mookh, with prices varying by sales phase.

  • Early bird: KSh2,000
  • Wave One: KSh2,500
  • Wave Two: KSh3,000
  • Final wave: KSh4,000

With its Kenyan debut, The Bar Symphony aims to offer a fresh perspective on live music, demonstrating how orchestral arrangements can transform familiar songs into a different listening experience.
