Police officers from Kerina Police Station in Kisii County have destroyed 6,510 litres of illicit alcohol following a targeted raid on an illegal brewing den in Mwata Village, Riana Ward.
The operation, conducted on October 17, 2026, also saw officers dismantle and destroy brewing equipment discovered at the scene, dealing a blow to the illegal alcohol trade in the area.
The National Police Service said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat the production and distribution of illicit brews and narcotics across the country.
The service reiterated its commitment to intensifying enforcement operations to dismantle illegal brewing networks and curb the circulation of harmful substances.
