Kenyan music stars to headline three days of live performances as Safari Sevens returns to Nyayo National Stadium from October 9 to 11
Kenyan music stars Nameless, Mejja, Breeder LW and Ssaru will headline the entertainment programme at the 2026 Safari Sevens, adding live music and performances to the rugby action at Nyayo National Stadium from October 9 to 11.
The 28th edition of the tournament will bring together rugby teams from Kenya and beyond for three days of competition, with organisers putting together a music and entertainment programme to complement the sporting action.
The entertainment programme kicks off on Friday, with DJs Confy and Grill taking charge of the opening day’s proceedings.
Saturday will feature performances by Mejja and Breeder LW, who will headline the day’s entertainment programme. They will be supported by DJs Most Wanted, Joe Mfalme, Incredible and Protégé.
Claudia Naisabwa and BM Shaxxy will serve as MCs, keeping fans engaged between the rugby action and performances.
The programme will culminate on Sunday when Nameless and Ssaru take the stage.
They will be supported by DJ Tophaz, Kriss Darlin and DJ Deweez, while Shema, Hype Ballo and MC BV Accurate will host the day’s activities as the tournament enters its final stretch.
The entertainment programme has been supported through Tusker’s KES14 million sponsorship of Safari Sevens.
Tusker Sports Brand Manager Keza Mpyisi said the partnership is intended to enhance the fan experience while supporting rugby and entertainment during the tournament.
“Safari Sevens is an important fixture on Kenya’s rugby calendar, and our sponsorship is about making the experience bigger and better for the fans who come out to support the sport,” said Mpyisi.
She added that through the Tusker Na Rugby platform, the brand was bringing together rugby and entertainment to give fans more reasons to attend the tournament.
Tusker’s sponsorship builds on its involvement in rugby throughout the year, including support for the National Sevens Circuit and the HSBC SVNS 2 event in Nairobi.
The 2026 Safari Sevens will therefore combine three days of international rugby with a programme of live music, DJs and entertainment at Nyayo National Stadium.
