Father In Court,Demands Woman End ‘Inappropriate’ Relationship With Son

A Nairobi lawyer has issued a demand letter to a woman accused of being in an inappropriate romantic relationship with a university student, warning her to stop interfering with the young man’s education, welfare and future.

The letter, dated October 2, 2026, was written by Mwenda Mwinzi & Associates Advocates on behalf of Harrison Mumo Simon, the father of Ian Mutinda Mumo.

Addressed to Monicah M. Muthiani, through the Office of the Clerk of the Nairobi County Assembly, the advocates said their client was concerned about the relationship between the woman and his son.

According to the letter, Ian was admitted to Kabarak University in September 2025 to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with the required university fees paid to facilitate his studies.

The father claims that shortly after his son joined the university, the woman took him to her residence in Donholm Estate, Nairobi, where she has allegedly been keeping and engaging him in what the father describes as an inappropriate romantic relationship.

The demand letter accuses the relationship of potentially affecting the student’s education, welfare and future.

The advocates, acting on the father’s instructions, have demanded that the woman cease and desist from the alleged romantic relationship and stop any conduct that could interfere with the student’s education and wellbeing.

The letter also references the student’s university admission documents, student identification card and fee statement, which the lawyers say were attached for reference.

The allegations contained in the letter remain claims by the father through his lawyers and have not been established by a court.
