Bayern Munich vs Ajax Tickets Go on Sale at 6pm, Prices Start at KSh2,500
The Ministry of Sports has announced that tickets for the highly anticipated FC Bayern Munich versus AFC Ajax match at Talanta Stadium will go on sale on Thursday, November 5, at 6:00 p.m.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya said tickets will be sold exclusively through the Talanta Sports City website, talantasportscity.com, with prices varying depending on seating categories and access privileges.
In a statement, Mvurya said ticket prices would start at KSh2,500, with sales taking place in phases across different seating categories.
“The tickets will be released in phases across multiple seating categories, with prices starting from as low as KSh2,500, reflecting our commitment to making this exceptional sporting experience accessible to as many Kenyans as possible,” the statement read.
Supporters were urged to purchase tickets during the announced sales windows, with the ministry warning that availability in sold-out categories would not be guaranteed during subsequent sales phases.
Mvurya also cautioned fans against purchasing tickets from unofficial sellers, urging them to use only verified channels and payment accounts to avoid falling victim to fraud.
Skyboxes and hospitality packages will also be available, offering exclusive matchday experiences.
The ministry said the event would feature dedicated concierge services, a 12-hour fan festival, international entertainment acts and a range of activities designed to enhance the matchday experience.
It further reiterated that the match would be fully funded through private-sector support, highlighting growing corporate confidence in Kenya’s sports industry.
Mvurya said the fixture would also serve as a critical test ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON PAMOJA), providing an opportunity to assess the country’s preparedness for hosting major international sporting events.
“The match will provide an invaluable opportunity to test our stadium, operations, security arrangements, transport systems, hospitality services, crowd management and other critical infrastructure under real international match conditions,” he stated.
Earlier, Sports Principal Secretary Elijah Mwangi clarified that the government would not use public funds to bring the two European football giants to Kenya for the launch of Talanta Stadium.
Mwangi said the government had secured sponsors who would facilitate the match between Bayern Munich and Ajax, with private-sector partners expected to meet the costs of staging the event.
