Mombasa County Commissioner Mohamed Noor said the government has recorded isolated cases of insecurity recently in Kisauni constituency.
He said this is as a result of a collaboration between the security apparatus and the political class from the constituency.
“Cases of insecurity have gone down in Kisauni area,” he confirmed.
Mohamed said this was achieved through the establishment of a police post in the constituency wards.
He was speaking during low key Madaraka Day celebration where the host, Rashid Bedzimba, was the only elected leader from the county who braved the rains to attend.
The County Commissioner assured politicians that the government has enough security personnel to deploy during the campaign season and before and after the 2027 general election.
“There is no need to hire goons during any political function within the county,” he argued.
He warned the government will firmly deal with both the goons and the politicians who hire them.
“Kindly notify the police and we shall provide you with the necessary security arrangements,” he pointed out.
The County Commissioner warned the government won’t entertain politicians who insult each other saying their days are numbered.
