Air France-KLM’s Loyalty Programme Wins Awards

Flying Blue, the loyalty programme of the Air France-KLM Group, has been recognised with four major honours at the 2026 Freddie Awards, one of the travel industry’s most respected award programmes.

The programme was named Program of the Year for the Europe/Africa region and also secured top honours in the categories of Best Elite Program, Best Redemption Ability, and Best Customer Service. It additionally received a Silver Award for its “Turning Miles into Memories for 20 Years” campaign.

The recognition comes shortly after the initiative was named the World’s Best Airline Loyalty Program for the second consecutive year by leading flight search and booking engine Point.me.

What makes the Freddie Awards particularly significant is that winners are determined directly by travellers. In 2026, more than 4.2 million frequent flyers participated in the voting process, the highest number in the awards’ history.

For travellers who are increasingly seeking greater value from international travel, the awards highlight Flying Blue’s ability to offer meaningful benefits across a vast global network.

Through Air France, KLM, and a network of more than 40 airline partners, Flying Blue members can access over 1,000 destinations worldwide while earning and redeeming Miles across a range of travel and lifestyle experiences.

“These awards reflect the trust of millions of travellers, and we commend Flying Blue for delivering a loyalty programme that consistently offers real value to our flyers,” said Joris Holtus, Air France-KLM’s General Manager for East and Southern Africa, Nigeria, and Ghana.

Flying Blue has continued to expand its offering beyond air travel, making the programme increasingly relevant to members’ everyday lives. Recent initiatives include a partnership with Apple that enables members to earn Miles on selected Apple purchases, alongside a growing network of more than 100 commercial partners worldwide, including leading brands in travel, mobility, and lifestyle services.

The programme also offers a range of features designed around traveller needs, including Family Miles pooling, monthly Promo Rewards, opportunities to contribute towards sustainable aviation fuel initiatives, and a status system based on Experience Points rather than spending alone.

Today, Flying Blue serves more than 35 million members globally and continues to innovate to ensure travellers enjoy broader access to rewards and a more personalised loyalty experience.
